Manchester City and Chelsea shined midweek in the Champions League whilst Arsenal and Manchester United tackle Villareal and Roma.
The semi-finals of the Champions League are set. Real Madrid, the only Spanish club standing after the last 16, are now just two games away from the final in Istanbul. Spain’s Real Madrid went to Anfield in Liverpool, on Wednesday evening (April 14), to contest the second-leg of their 2021 UEFA Champions League quarter-final, holding a 3-1 lead from the first leg in Madrid, and, thanks to a 0-0 draw, are now in the semi-finals, where they will play another English team, Chelsea.
Thomas Tuchel’s side have knocked out Atletico Madrid and Porto on their way to the last four.
On the other side of the draw, Paris Saint-Germain, who dumped out holders Bayern Munich in the last round, will take on Manchester City.
Neymar said: “The most important thing is that we are qualified, and I am very happy. PSG is a great team. We’re in the semi-finals and now we’re aiming higher. I warned the boss [Pochettino] that I would score goals in the semi-finals.”
Pep Guardiola’s side were victorious over Borussia Dortmund in the quarter-finals as they try to progress to the first final in their club’s history.
