The annual Summer Ball and Graduation Dinner have become the latest to be cut as YUSU cancel events under COVID-19 threat.
Tickets will be automatically refunded from Monday 23rd March, and YUSU have stressed the need for patience with staff members as they remotely coordinate a response.
This comes after the cancellation of Roses, Goodfest, and the closing of libraries and bars across the campus.
As the University decided to postpone 2020 Graduation this morning, this is perhaps an unsurprising development for York Students.
Violet Hatch, a final year English BA student, commented that while they ‘understand’ the decision, they are nevertheless ‘really gutted that we are ending our degree like this.’
