Convention is where the Young Greens, the youth and student wing of the Green Party, discuss policy, hold training sessions, and elect a new leadership committee.
There is no specific location given, but York’s campus has previously hosted Natalie Bennett and Jonathon Bartley, former and current co- leader of the Green Party, as well as Tim Farron and Vince Cable, former and current leaders of the Liberal Democrats.
During the 2017 General Election, York played host to a BBC Question Time special featuring Theresa May and Jeremy Corbyn. The show was the only time both potential PMs were interviewed in the same program.
