DJS AT VODKA REVOLUTION have been encouraging girls to kiss and dance provocatively to excite their pervasions and “make them horny” at student club nights.
According to second year students from the University of York, who wished to remain anonymous, DJs at Vodka Revolution frequently propositioned free champagne for any girls that could sufficiently turn them on. Girls were goaded into “grinding” and “getting off” with each other in front of the DJ booth in exchange for the free alcohol.
One of the girls who spoke to Vision described how the events at Vodka Revolution made her feel “incredibly uncomfortable and sympathetic with the girls who were drunk enough to be provoked by the DJs. The DJs’ behaviour were shameful and perverted.”
These accusations are not isolated, with similar occurrences at some of York’s other clubs in recent weeks. Reports of similar misconduct at Tokyo surfaced last month. A freelance photographer hired by the club asked girls to kiss each other for snaps which were subsequently uploaded to Facebook. The photographer is said to have offered the girls free shots in reward for their compliance.
Vision contacted Vodka Revolutions about the recent allegations and they responded that they were not at liberty to comment. Instead Vision was directed to the Vodka Revolution Head Office who were unfortunately unavailable.
The night in question, Tuesday November 23, was an official York St John Student club night named Lovecandi. There have as of yet been no similar accusations about Filthy Rich, the YUSU affiliated Sunday night event hosted by Vodka Revs.
Let’s hope Revolution’s ‘Legendary Snogathon’ this Tuesday won’t prove too much for the DJs to handle.
