The countdown to the biggest sporting event of the year is ticking ever closer. With days to go until the winner is declared, Vision looks forward to what will be an incredibly exciting event. York last won an away Roses in Lancaster just four years ago in 2008 (whilst Lancaster hasn’t achieved this feat since 1985…)
This year looks to be bigger than ever with more sports and teams competing over the three days.
For those people who don’t know about Roses; it is an sporting event held between York and Lancaster (like the war of the Roses- see what they did there?) It is held every year with the venue alternating between the two universities, this year it is away in Lancaster. Since its inception in 1965 the tournament has kept expanding with new sports and teams added every year, little wonder it is now the biggest inter university sporting competition in Europe.
Vision will be running a live blog with up to the moment news and scores. As well as match reports and all the goings on.
