Leaked footage has revealed that EA’s latest Battlefield entry will be named ‘Battlefield Hardline’.
The game, formally referred to as ‘Omaha’, will be “set against the backdrop of a genre we all love – the war on crime and the battle between cops and criminals” according to Visceral Games, Battlefield Hardline’s developer.
The new entry was intended to be revealed at this year’s E3; however, a seven minute trailer was released onto the internet, showcasing the game’s new multiplayer features and expected, explosive action.
Steve Papoutsis, executive producer at Visceral Games, added:
“We’re excited to be going into more detail soon on the ways we’re adding new twists and turns to the foundation of Battlefield multiplayer and more about how we’re bringing our strengths at Visceral to single player.”
Footage of the game has since been removed due to copyright laws.
Battlefield Hardline is slated for an autumn release this year, with more of the game to be revealed on June 9th at E3.
