What’s the most important part of your manifesto?
The most important part of my manifesto is the focus I have on increasing communication between the senate and the student body, issues raised at senate are not only interesting but important to student life.
How do you differ from the other candidates?
I differ from other candidates firstly and most obviously because I am a first year and I am the only girl running for the position this year. I also live off campus so I have a wider grasp of the problems faced by not only first year students but also 2nd and 3rd year students who live off campus.
What was your favourite thing the previous officer did and why?
My favourite thing a previous officer has done is the proposal to reduce feedback time from 6 to 4 weeks on receiving formative essays back because as a student waiting for essays back is the most nerve-wracking thing.
What’s the most important thing about the role you are going for?
I feel as if the most important thing about my role is the direct channel of communication I can provide students with to the highest decision making assembly at the university.
How are you campaigning?
I’ll be using a wide range of social media to reach part time and off campus students as well as block runs, handing out leaflets putting up cardboard signs!
What do you like the most about York?
My most favorite thing about York is that 5 months later, I can still go out and appreciate what a beautiful city it is
What’s the best slogan you can think of for your campaign?
Ananna for Senate, what else?
What do you think about York Vision?
Absolutely love it, always keep up with it on twitter!
