YSTV scooped up Best Broadcaster Award at this year’s National Student TV Awards in Loughborough.
The accolade marked their third award of the night, preceded by Best Technical Achievement for the second consecutive year and the Highly Commended Best Factual Award for ‘Lights on Literature’.
Chris Wall, YSTV member and star of its latest sitcom ‘Union’, commented:
“The victory means a lot to the team, especially considering the challenges faced by YSTV this year. To even get content out and do what we love is amazing; but to be recognised for that on a national level as the best in the country once again is just such a boost.”
Writers of ‘Union’ were nominated for Comedy and Writing awards, but left the ceremony empty handed.
Filming for its third episode has now finished, with footage used from the cast’s attendance of the NUS conference.
