Fresh from the streets of York (quite literally), the busking five-piece Glass Caves are well on their way to taking the North by storm. From the city streets to sell-out gigs in York and Leeds, the band have most certainly made their mark, and are set for a wider UK-touring in the coming future.
After a memorable performance on the BBC Introducing Stage at Reading and Leeds this year, the Futuresound competition runners-up have proved themselves in the alt-rock field, and with their catchy riffs and frantic rhythms, they are sure to have any crowd lost in simultaneous head-banging. The sounds of ‘Eboracum’ illustrate their general musical structure – a climactic crescendo which spirals into a heady explosion of pounding melodies.
Friday 18th October sees this band’s return to Fibbers, an opportunity not to be missed. Get yourself down to York’s intimate venue for a night of what promises to be crashing chords and plenty of adrenaline-fuelled head rushes.
