The latest addition to York’s nightlife scene, Kuda, opens on Friday.
Following a £750,000 refurbishment, the nightclub, formerly known as The Gallery, boasts a new state of the art lighting and sound system, as well as complete redesign and some structural changes.
Following the decision to award Kuda with the Tuesday night slot of YUSUs official clubbing timetable, the old Gallery looks set to return as one of the most popular student haunts in the city centre.

So happy they scored the official Tuesday
Gonna be as bad, if not worse than salvation… And how is Tokyo even still going? Worst ‘club’ in existence
lets get creepy !
So it looks like the inside of any club, trying to slot into the market by offering the “prestige” of Revs, with the “clubbing” feel of Salvo or Tokyo.
The only original feature is the VW camper van which I’m sure will be used for sexual activities.
Not to mention the ample supply of Grey goose, which students love due to its competitive price.
Cynics.
Failing York’s populous of ‘socialites’ receiving brain transplants this really will just be The Gallery Mark Two (minus stench of vom and sticky carpets) but still with all the ‘punch’ of the previous Heaven and Hell incarnation.
Heaven simply being your overpriced bar/violence-inducing balcony floor and, of course, Hell perfectly describing the minuscule sunken dance floor…which “some structural changes” ominously suggests won’t have changed one bit.
Creepy indeed…
haters gonna hate, mirers gonna mire.
