WITH Volunteering Week commencing in Week 4, ‘Raising and Giving’ charitable society RAG have been releasing the many exciting fund-raising efforts they have lined up for throughout the Autumn, Spring and Summer terms.
In the coming weeks York students will have the opportunity to sign up for a range of events including expeditions to Kilimanjaro and the Great Wall of China.
On the third and fourth of November, York RAG will be joining other RAG societies from universities across the country for the London ‘Mega Raid’ in aid of Oxfam.
Week 4 will also see fundraising challenges ‘Movember’ for men and ‘One Dress One Month’ for the girls.
Other outlandish events you can get involved with in aid of RAG include ‘Tough Guy’, skydiving, cycling from Leeds to Amsterdam and even a walk across hot coals in Vanbrugh Paradise.
