Roses 2011: Friday- As it happened

Hello and welcome to the York Vision Live Blog, where we’ll be keeping you updated throughout the Roses 2011 weekend, as the men and women in black & gold look to get one back on rivals Lancaster, who emerged victorious last year.

Keep an eye on our brand-spanking-new website later in the day, when we’ll be serving up some freshly baked match reports. Also, brace yourselves for the next edition of Vision – next Tuesday – which will feature, amongst other things, a whopping 16-page Roses pullout. Promises to be exciting stuff.

Today’s major events include a chance to see your York Sport President in the York Centurions’ game against the Lancaster Bombers at 1pm, as well as the Rugby 1st XV play at the Huntingdon Stadium in the tournament’s showpiece; see http://www.yusu.org/docs/roses-timetable-2011.pdf for all of Friday’s fixtures. Also make sure to check out URY’s amazing coverage, coming to you live from 22 acres http://ury.york.ac.uk/listenlivewindow.php

Come on Yorkie!

York 15.5 Lancaster 21.5

  1. Bit gutted you didn’t bother covering the end of the cricket. They put in a huge performance over the course of a long day in those conditions. Would have been nice to report their efforts and victory.
